Geneva XI Stars CC win the Swiss Mr.Pickwick Cup 2008 in a thrilling final against Power winterthur CC played at Affoltern in Zurich. Winning the toss Power Winterthur were all out for 147. Chasing a target of 148, XI stars kept loosing wicket at regular intervals. Spectacular rescue efforts first by Neelesh was followed by a splendid 52 not out by Kamran Dar resulting in victory by 2 wickets with 1 over to spare. Geneva XI Stars CC reach the semifinals of the SCA league by defeating Olten CC convincingly in their Quarterfinal game. The semifinals will be held on 7 September in Onex. All the club supporters and honorary members are invited to the game.
Geneva XI Stars CC has started a cricket academy to train young people residing in and around Geneva. We welcome people of all ages to come and participate in our academy. Geneva XI Stars CC will organize a EuroTwenty20 cricket tournament in 2009 in Onex, with teams coming from different countries of Europe and Asia.. Further details of the tournament will be published on the website and the newspaper of Coeur de Vie soon.The organizing committee will be announced in the 2 week of September 2008.

Association Coeur de Vie has founded a new cricket club Berne XI Stars CC for all the cricket lovers in Berne region.
Unity Day
The club celebrated the independence days of Pakistan and India falling on 14 and 15 August respectively at the club office by organising a grand dinner for all the members of the club. This was followed by lot of fun related activities at the club house
Taking cricket to the people in Geneva
Geneva XI Stars CC has taken up the initiative to get the local population of geneva playing cricket specially in the region of Grand Lancy where the club office is located. The fantastic sunny evening began with explaining the people what cricket is all about and this was followed by inviting the local people young and old to have a go at cricket played with Tennis ball. The response was amazing and everybody had a great fun in trying to smack the tennis ball. People had lot of fun and once again it proved that cricket can be a real fun game. The game was followed by a Barbeque and some wonderful food provided by the club to all the people.
